Stewards Lose A Founding Member

To All Stewards I am sad to report that once again we have lost one of our founding members from the Stewards of the Sierra.

Bruce D. Clark

Born: April 24, 1953

Passed: July 15, 2017

Bruce D. Clark died July 15, 2017 at the age of 64. He was born in Fresno, CA April 24, 1953. He had attended and graduated from Hoover High school in 1971. A mountain resident since 1972 when he found a cabin to rent in Bass Lake, CA and never left. He had resided at his home in North Fork, CA since 2001. He had founded and operated Yosemite Country Foods, since 1991. He could be seen in and around Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon happily making deliveries. He enjoyed living in the mountains; because of the proximity to the activity he loved most, riding his dirt bike in the Sierra.

He also enjoyed camping and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Dawn R. Connelly, Mother Barbara Rogers Louden (Tom), Sister Adele Howard (Martin), children Christopher Clark (fiancée Catherine) and Samuel Clark (Crystal). Sam and Crystal had just blessed him with his first grandchild Oliver Clark.

A Celebration of Life is planned for August 12, 2017. A memorial service is planned at 1pm, followed by social time until 4 pm. It will be held at North Fork Rancheria Community Center. In lieu of flowers or money, please donate to an outdoor non-profit you are passionate about.
